DTrace on Linux

I wonder if it ever will be included in main Linux distros - would be very nice.
On the other hand is SystemTap bound to fail? It's been years now and still no real progress...

dtrace for linux is also available - no kernel patches required; just compile and load the module. USDT and syscall tracing and many of the other dtrace goodies. Still pre-release but you can see
it
